Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting the President/CEO in the overall management of the credit union.  Has direct responsibility for the administration and supervision of front-end and back-end operations and Branch activities within established policies and guidelines.  Duties include:

  • Assist in directing all credit union operations, which include planning, recommending, and implementing programs and policies, and providing general administrative direction.
  • Manage daily operation of credit union and establish office procedures.
  • Analyze various statistics and the use of technology in all areas of operation and make recommendations for the efficient operation and growth of the credit union.
  • Ensure adequate equipment supplies and appropriate use of space.
  • Assist in the finance and accounting functions of the credit union.
  • Ensure that the President/CEO is kept fully informed on the conditions and operations of the credit union and of all important factors influencing them.
  • Maintain daily contact with the staff, providing support, input, feedback, and guidance concerning the daily operations.
  • Monitor credit union activity, including number of transactions, volume, teller errors, loan volume, teller referrals, loans, and new accounts.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain operational procedures to maximize efficiency and quality of work and to provide consistent quality service to members.
  • Hold periodic staff meetings.  Identify areas for improvement, changes in procedures, new developments, or changes in services or products.  Keep staff up to date on trends and general credit union information.
  • Oversee hiring, terminations, and other changes in status of assigned employees.
  • Evaluate the job performance of subordinates to ensure quality of work and service to members.
  • Attend Board meetings and report on assigned areas of responsibility as requested by the President.
  • Manage and recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years progressively responsible financial and operations work experience, with experience in a leadership capacity.
  • Experience in accounting is preferred.
  • Experience with strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources; as well as the ability to independently manage the details of multiple programs and projects, to track activities and meet deadlines is essential.
  • In-depth understanding of the credit union risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced experience with software applications, computer networking, banking applications, systems security and telephone systems required.
  • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong oral and written communication and collaboration skills.

Job Summary:

Provide information on credit union products and services to current and potential members according to all credit union policies and procedures and Federal and State rules and regulations. Prepare, analyze, process, and document all required forms and related documentation for loans. Approve or deny a variety of loan applications, within loan authority according to credit union policy and approval guidelines.  Duties include:

  • Ensure prompt, efficient, courteous, accurate and professional service is provided to Credit Union members and staff in all aspects of loan servicing. Assist with or initiate action deemed necessary for resolving member problems.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Federal, State, and local laws, rules and regulatory requirements pertaining to the Credit Union as they relate to Loan Servicing and assist in their necessary compliance.
  • Making recommendations to management when adjustments are necessary to minimize risk to the Credit Union.
  • Make recommendations to the CEO for improvements and enhancements to loan promotions, existing procedures and processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of periodic reports required for the servicing and lending areas and any additional reports/analysis required by management. 
  • Comply with applicable internal policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements as they relate to Loan Servicing functions. Answer loan inquiries, provide program information, and send application packets. 
  • Determine eligibility for loans and facilitate application submission. 
  • Process and evaluate loan applications, verifying accuracy and completeness. 
  • Provide applicant with timely and periodic status updates of loan application. 
  • Evaluate and interpret applicant credit report, bank statements, tax returns, and budget to determine whether the applicant has the ability to repay loan. 
  • Ensure applicant understands terms of repayment and communication expectations. 
  • Prepare closing documents and collect required documentation for borrower and follow up on missing elements.

 Position Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience in loan servicing preferred.
  • Must be familiar with loan products, loan-servicing practices, policies and procedures.‚Äč
  • Strong working knowledge of word, excel, access and comparable software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.

Job Summary:

Provide account information by phone or in person, as well as information on the full range of credit union products and services.  Maintain current knowledge of all credit union services and policies.  Inform members on interest rates and cross-sell services offered at the credit union.  Open new share accounts and certificates.  Assist members in the completion of Individual Retirement Accounts.  Provide comprehensive, prompt, accurate, and efficient member transactions.  Receive share drafts/checks for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, examine share drafts/checks for proper endorsement, and accurately enter deposits into computer records.  Process withdrawals from accounts.  Process new account information including ordering checks, ATM cards, checking for appropriate signatures, etc.  Assist members in closing accounts.  Assist members with discrepancies and complaints.  Make corrections and refunds on accounts, if necessary.

Perform clerical duties involving electronic funds transfers (ETF) and automated clearing house (ACH) functions in a timely, accurate manner that provides members with quality service.  Reconcile accounts in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.

Assist members in all aspects of the credit union’s savings products and services such as certificates of deposit, IRAs, money market accounts, and all other savings products.
Provide primary or backup duty on functions as assigned.

Cross-sell all products and services offered by the credit union.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least six months experience as a Teller at a financial institution or two years retail service and sales experience.
  • Cash handling or payment transactions and client facing experience preferred.
  • Basic math and numeric sequencing aptitude.
  • Willing and able to follow instructions and work under established guidelines.
  • Knowledge of credit union or bank products, policies and procedures.
